On Mahashivaratri festival, on Saturday, the whole atmosphere will be engrossed in the devotion of Bhole. A lot of preparation has been done in the pagodas regarding this. Teams of kanwariyas passed through the city throughout the day. Throughout the day, the atmosphere was filled with the sound of ghungroos and the shouts of Bam-Bam Bhole.
The preparations for the Mahashivaratri festival are almost complete. Bhole Baba will be decorated in Shiva temples on Saturday. Apart from holding a fair in Shiva temples, grand tableaux will also be decorated on Mahashivaratri. With Jalabhishek, the devotees will wish for the fulfillment of their wishes to the indestructible Shiva. A large number of Shiva devotees from the city and surrounding areas have gone to the Gangaghats to collect the Kanwar.
Camps have been set up on the roads for Shiv devotees to have refreshments, rest etc. There is a lot of fanfare of this festival in the markets as well. Shivratri is the festival of union of Lord Shiva and Mother Shakti. The one who gives the desired fruit, prosperity to the devotees of Shiva. On this day the devotees of Shiva worship Shiva by observing fast, on the other hand many devotees anoint Mahadev by bringing water from Ganga ji.
On Friday, shouts of Bam-Bam Bhole, Har Har Ganga were heard all around the city. Long queues of kanwariyas were visible on Agra, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura and Sikandrarau routes. The sound of anklets tied to the feet of the kanwariyas could be heard everywhere.
Worship Lord Shiva to fulfill your wishes
Acharya Vallabh Ji Maharaj told that this time on Mahashivaratri, there has been fruitful yoga. That’s why devotees should worship Shiva methodically to fulfill their wishes. Rudrabhishek has special importance on this day. To please Lakshmi ji, anoint Shiva with sugarcane juice. To get victory over the enemy, anoint with oil. Girls should worship Gaura ji to get a groom. Normally, by offering Gangajal, milk, curd, belpatra, ber, dhatura etc., Shiva’s blessings will be showered on the devotees.
